Creating Living Bronze Workshop

Victor’s professionalism, orderliness, openness, friendliness, and dedication were always evident. The course met all of my expectations. I learned many useful techniques, but, more important, I learned my limitations. I am now able to set some very specific learning objectives. I found it very useful to see the model from above and to use the lamp to see subtle aspects. Could that be done earlier – not to look at details but to understand large planes? I do hope to stay in touch. Thanks to you Victor, to Amanda, Beth & Fawn. All did a fine job. I am satisfied.

Had a great time and learned a great deal. Maybe we can work somethings out with 3d graphics – regardless, I would like to stay in touch somehow. Eventually I will take the head class.

I really enjoy your instruction, openness, and calm, even, encouraging disposition. I hope I can take further classes of yours without becoming a “groupie” and I will always refer my sculpturing friends to you with my highest recommendations. Having studied with several sculptors, I consider you to be one of the very best!! I hope you will never give up teaching since you are “blessed to be a blessing”, and in terms of my artistic courage, you have been a great blessing to me.

I feel this workshop has allowed me to see the flaws in my own methods and given me extremely valuable tools in both applications of techniques and artistic composition. I’m energized to stretch my art and sculpt till my hands fall off!! There are a number of sculptors forums to which I belong, among them Wet Canvas, Sculpture.net, The Clubhouse, 8 Heads, Movers Portrait Sculpture Forum, etc…. Where sculptors new and old look for guidance, resources, workshops. I will be singing your praises and encouraging them to enroll in your workshop. Thank you!!

Absolutely the best information I’ve gotten and I know it will markedly improve my work.

Excellent in all was but particularly good in the organization of material, the early measurements, handouts, the excellent model, good demonstrations, etc. Would love to learn more about the rest of the process of molds casting but not nearly enough time for everything. Thanks so much for the wonderful sharing!!

This was not meant as mindless praise. I’ve taken 10-12 workshops and you not only have an excellent rapport, but for students wishing to sculpt a realistic figure you cover every aspect from a meaningful pose to detail, and do so excellently. Few sculptors can teach as well as sculpt – you’re one of the few.

Thanks for another absolutely fascinating week – Besides being an incomparable sculptor, your encouraging and unobtrusive instruction makes the neophyte (e.g. me!) feel “I can do this!!” And – thank you for Amanda. She has a delightfully uncomplicated (and attractive!) figure, and her tolerance and patience encourages us in our work. I hope you can persuade her to “stay with us” – again and again! Thanks!
